Purpose of this document
This document will demonstrate how SendIT can integrate with a Customers System by
exploring the different options available. The document will also show what work will
need to be done from all parties.

Benefits of integration
By integrating with SendIT, Customers will gain a more automated system. Users will
be able to process an order in their system and export the order data directly into
SendIT. This will remove doubling up on data entry points and further reduce instances
for potential data errors. Overall it will streamline the manual processes that may
currently exist.
Where possible, track and trace will also be enabled, allowing for users to track all
freight through the one web portal, however it must be noted that this is only available
for carriers that offer this service.
Integration Methods
...
The following method has been recognised as a possible method for integration given
the information and\or requirements that have been supplied. This method allows for a
single workstation to connect to import data and automatically raise consignments.
Where possible the configuration that enables the workstation to achieve this goal will
be duplicated onto secondary, ‘back-up’, workstations.
The method below will allow the users to bring up all the receiver information in their
system where they can input how the order is packed, including the measurement
dimensions, the weight of the shipping items for delivery and any applicable dangerous
goods declarations. Once the data has been entered, the customers system will export
a csv file. Once exported SendIT will automatically identify a new order to process and
create a consignment from the data contained within. The quoting tool will utilised in
this setup to ensure that the most cost effective carrier is applied at the time of
consigning. Prior to initialising the quoting procedure the SendIT import process will
apply carrier selection logic to automatically apply a best fit carrier. In instances where
the carrier selection logic is applied the quoting tool is bypassed.
Customers using more than one dispatch machine will need to have a network folder
for each of the SendIT Databases to sit. This will allow for the dispatch machines to use
the one database. Each dispatch machine must have read and write access to the
