Advance Shipping Notice  (ASN) is a notification of pending pick-ups/ deliveries, similar to a Packing List. It is usually sent in an electronic format and is a common EDI document.

Identical to Shipment if Consignor is the Shipper / Original Consignor and the Consignee is the Receiver (Final/Ultimate Consignee).
