  1. Open 'File Explorer'

On older versions of Windows this could be called 'Windows Explorer'

  2. Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Flip Group\Message Transmitter

    • If this folder doesn't exist, the computer or server doesn't have the Windows Service installed (and therefore means that it is installed on another device).
    • If this folder is empty, the service has been uninstalled from this device and requires reinstallation by the EFM IT Service Desk team.
    • If this folder has many different files in it (like the animation to the right), the software is installed on this device.

Open the Windows Task Manager

  1. Right Click any unused area in the Start Bar.
  2. Click Task Manager.
  3. Select the Services tab at the top of the screen.

  1. Ensure that the Services are ordered alphabetically.

This is identified by an upward facing arrow in the Name column.

  2. Scroll down until you find 'Message Transmitter' in the name column.
  3. Select the service to highlight it.

This will make the next step easier to do!

Review the Status of the Windows Service

  1. Locate the Status column and review the status.
    1. If it is 'stopped', the service must be restarted.
    2. If it is 'running', no further action is required.

Restarting the Windows Service

  1. Right click the Message Transformer service and select 'start'.

If this is not possible, IT administrative rights are required to complete this task. The OneFlo user will need to contact their internal IT team for assistance.

By including this documentation in that communication it will help their IT team resolve this issue again, should it happen in the future.

  2. Wait for the Service to change status to 'running'

If this doesn't occur or an error displays, IT administrative rights are required to complete this task. The OneFlo user will need to contact their internal IT team for assistance.
