Process Flow

Manifesting

  1. Vendor create consignments, labels and freight documentation.
    • Vendor determines carrier service selection based on freight type and other criteria.
  2. Vendor exports the consignment information into an EDI file.
  3. Vendor transmits the EDI file to efm via FTP.
  4. efm OneFlo uploads the provided file
  5. Final Step:
    1. efm OneFlo transmits the processed consignment information to the relevant carrier/s.
    2. efm OneFlo holds onto the prepared consignments for customer to release to the carriers when desired


System Component Map

This data flow below illustrates the basic interaction between the client and efm systems. This includes a call to the Quote web service which is essential and recommended when integrating via EDI to ensure that the most cost effective carrier option is used when creating the consignment.
