Calibrating a Zebra Printer

When installing the printer for the first time or when troubleshooting an issue with the printer.

Prerequisites

Printer needs to be installed prior to calibrating. If you haven't installed your printer, go to Printer Configuration or Installing a Zebra GK420d on a Macintosh.

Step-by-step guide

There are 2 ways of calibrating the printer

  1. When on site, facing the printer
    1. Press and hold the feed button until you see 4 (four) consecutive flashes
    2. The printer will print a couple of labels and stop.
    3. Perform a test print and validate result.
      OR
  2. Remotely (this may require elevated privileges)

            a. Go to Devices and printers

            b. Right click on the printer in question and select Printing Preferences


           c. Go-to Advanced Setup Tab

           d. Click Calibrate
